Spring in your life

Few Saturdays ago I had a wonderful surprise of having the sun back into our life, so strong, so bright, so warm after this dreadful winter with low temperatures and bad weather.

But you know what? This whole transition marked my year, not physically but spiritually. It was very captivating to observe the changes in nature and follow closely to each stage of it up until now.

The leaves on trees turned dry and fell off; the lawns looked more like carpets of straw so dried out by the early frost; flower pots were so withered that I could guarantee they would never flourish again; birds were eating dried sticks and branches; poor bees… no flowers to gaze upon.

Then 1st of Sept inaugurated our calendars bringing springs announcements but still nature was telling me otherwise.

All of a sudden, more like overnight, I rejoiced to see flower buds sprouting, brand new lime green leaves filling up our trees and it has been an adventure since then to walk around and contemplate how gardens are turning into a detailed display of God’s amazing power and good taste.

Observing it all for the first time, it brought me a great insight of our spiritual life.

Once we had been as dried up and dead as any of those trees around. People looked at us and barely expected to find any joy at all. Life had gone from us and we had no perspective of future. The wind of problems, hail of desperation, snow of frustration and the storm of deceptions had taken control over us.

And suddenly some of us had our spring season when we first met our Lord Jesus. He brought rays of hope, soft breeze of love, dew of joy and a warming feeling of peace.

You cannot pinpoint how it happened, as we cannot see the flowers flourishing; but you know for sure that your life has changed. You now have got color in you.

You do not need to face this spiritual winter ever anymore, by feeling dried up and dead inside of you, if you just cultivate your encounter with Jesus and make your life feel like a permanent season of spring. It will not only show how you are beautiful inwardly, but you will be able to fill other people’s eyes with your beauty and make them wish to be just like you.

SOWETO – ROUND UP AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

It has been a month’s journey, nationwide, sharing the message of awareness and prevention. Our purpose: to lead women to love themselves and to look after their health; our target: each one of you, independent of age, If we have achieved our result, that is a question that can only be answer by each one of those who have gathered with us during this past month.

However we can celebrate in unison: with your support and participation we have completed a donation of R 50,000 to CANSA and that somehow will benefit either you or your community because part of the funds will be reversed to free scanning and tests. We feel so good when we can help somehow and reach out for those less fortunate.

Once again, in the name of WiA members, I thank you because you have been our support and inspiration and if we were able to do some good, it is for this very same reason.

May we all learn one lesson out of this last month’s events: when we prompt to do something and we apply our efforts to it, there is no other way than achieving results. This Is for our persona lives. We are very unique creation of God and surely not to fail and to fall but to stand strong for what we believe and for what we are: women of God.
