The title here was chosen as the name for our Cancer
Support Group with the main purpose of encouraging patients and family members
in such a difficult season in their lives.
A cancer patient tends to think about the consequences of
the disease, how their family members will cope with the news, how they will
cope with the side effects of the treatment and constantly have their
self-esteem and self-value threatened.
On the other hand, we want to show that all he or she needs
to worry about is themselves.
Our Cancer Supporters will meet every alternate Tuesday, at
2pm, at the UCKG in Noord Street and host motivational speakers, dieticians,
nurses, doctors, and other professionals who will shed new light on the fight
against the disease and the side effects of harsh treatments.
Participants will also share their knowledge and
experiences to encourage others and their families.
This is one more service
that is not restricted to members of the UCKG.
Every person who could benefit from this meeting is most
welcome.
So if you know of someone who is undergoing treatment or was
recently diagnosed, invite him or her to join us for our next meeting on the 6th of March 2012, at 2pm, Claim Street - Noord.
