The word ABUSE

March in Port Elizabeth
Meeting in Cape Town
Did you ever think about the meaning of this word ABUSE?

a·buse [uh-byooz; uh-byoos] Show IPA verb, a·bused, a·bus·ing, noun.
verb (used with object)
to use wrongly or improperly; misuse: to abuse one's authority.
to treat in a harmful, injurious, or offensive way: to abuse a horse; to abuse one's eyesight.
to speak insultingly, harshly, and unjustly to or about; revile; malign.
to commit sexual assault upon.
Obsolete . to deceive or mislead.

However many are still believing that whatever they go through it is the normal course of life. Somehow they have been convinced that they don't deserve any better.
It is up to you and to me to tell them otherwise - we are living the 16 Days of Activism Against Women and Children, in South Africa in its 13th year, and as Women in Action for the third consecutive year.
What are you doing to lead South Africa to a level of respect and protection to women in children?

March in Durban
Share with us your experience.
