Today I would like to invite you, specially
our female readers, to read this post carefully because we are the ones who
easily fall into this trap of the devil.
Reading Neemiah 2,3,4 we learn about the
opposition to the rebuilding of the wall of Jerusalem, in the person of
Sanbalatt and Tobiah.
Sanballat and Tobiah are represented in our
life not necessarily by a person but spiritually speaking who come to confront
us every time we decide to invest in our spiritual life and communion with God.
Do you know how? Making us to remember of
something that was said about us in the past or an injustice we have been
through. From the moment those memories come back to you mind, you immediately
loose the strength to carry on building your spiritual wall.
And here we have another aspect that you
might need to surrender and you never realised until now: the words said by
men, situations you lived years ago are speaking louder than all promises of
God reiterate to you.
So how do you want 100% of God, His Spirit,
His revival if you have been valuing more deeds of men?
How many times you heard (quote from verse
4): “What
are these feeble Jews (replace by your name) doing? Will they fortify
themselves? Will they offer sacrifices? Will they complete it in a day? Will
they revive the stones from the heaps of rubbish—stones that are burned?”
And the thought of these
words made you to be stuck in life?
Day Six – Time to surrender the
importance given to other people’s opinions and words and to be more concerned
with what God thinks of you.
