Today I would like to share one extract of the book The Master and the
Servant, which I highly recommend you to read exactly during these last days of
the Fast of Daniel.
You may not be an assistant, or a pastor or a pastor’s wife but we all are
servants of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The quality of our service will depend on having or not the Holy Spirit
so this paragraph is very meaningful so that we understand that we only are
real servants when the Spirit of our Lord is in us thus the great importance of
making of your new birth and the baptism with the Holy Spirit a priority for
your life and salvation.
It reads:
“Perhaps they don’t have a clue of
what it means to be a servant or, most probably, they have never been born of
the Spirit. A person who receives the Spirit of the Lord Jesus automatically
receives the mind of a servant.
To be a servant of the Lord Jesus
is a privilege of few, which lasts as long as we live in vases of clay;” (page
48, chapter 8)
Vases of clay mean to give God the opportunity to mold us and sometimes
to break us and make us anew again – this is what the Fast of Daniel is for.
However if we do not have the mind of Christ in us, the process of
molding will never be complete. I will accept God’s will provided that it is in
line with my own.
Day 17 – What is the quality of your service to God? You are only a real
servant if you have received the mind of Christ and it comes with the seal of
the Holy Spirit.
