FAST OF DANIEL - DAY NINETEEN

FATHER, SON AND HOLY SPIRIT – the trinity!
Three days to go for the end of the Fast of Daniel that symbolized for us to achieve perfection in our Spiritual Life as the trinity is perfect.
We had numerous blogs, messages, testimonies, services all around to bring forth this miracle in your and my life.
But it does not depend of what goes on around us, it depends on what goes on inside of us. If we do not recognize how much we need to be part of the Fast of Daniel, the miracle will not take place.
It is not a matter of just wanting or joining it but it is a matter of desiring the Holy Spirit above anything else.
It does not count if you want the Holy Spirit to be able to raise your hands when the pastor asks who was baptized. It does not count if you want the Holy Spirit as the finishing touches of your Christian Journey.
You must desire Him and understand His importance not only during the Fast of Daniel but every day of your life.
To do the Work of God is to destroy the works of the devil but how can one say he is destroying the works of the devil if he has not been able to put down his own selfish ways?
How can one say he has de Holy Spirit but his actions only point to himself?
How can someone calls himself a faithful Christian and not be part of this most important campaign in the Church?
There are still two days to go and if you just fall on your feet and recognize how much you need and desire to have the Spirit of God in your life, the miracle will happen right here, right now.
The Spirit of God only comes to those who see themselves as nothing, the left overs of this world. If you see yourself as already saved, maybe you will not experience the greatness of the Holy Spirit in you. May you hear His voice from Mount Hermon.
For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite.(Is 57:15)
Day 19 - Make sure you have a contrite spirit

FAST OF DANIEL - DAY SIXTEEN

I am reading Philippians and I went through verse 10, chapter 2, written as “ that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven and of those on earth, and of those under the earth”.
I was thinking over who else in this world confesses more the name of Jesus than Christians? We pray and call Him Lord, Savior, we say words of love and surrendering to Him, right?
But last Saturday, while doing the meeting with the Youth ladies I have said something of which I have been thinking over and over and was complemented with this verse.
We express all the above in words but what goes on in our heart? We say Jesus is Lord and Savior but in our heart do we make Him really our Lord or we want to serve Him the way we see fit?
We bow our knees in prayer but don’t we doubt our own words allowing the feelings that are in our heart to lead our mind?
We confess He is Lord, but when our problems are bringing the worst in us, are we confessing His Lordship with our thoughts or actions?
How many times I have counseled people who starts by saying they gave their life to Jesus, they pray, they fast and they believe He is the God of the impossible but further into the conversation I have clearly noticed that this person believes in all that but he does not believe that it is for himself?
So all the words said will not be effective because your mind is not in line with your words; you are binding your knees physically but your feelings of fear, doubt, complex, inferiority are not showing Lordship to Jesus.
Day 16 – meditate if your words are the real expression of your faith and bow down your heart to Jesus’ Lordship today.

FAST OF DANIEL - DAY FOURTEEN

One of the challenges that we challenge is to tame our emotions. And if you just examine your life carefully, you may realize that most of the wrong decisions or reactions you had were taken in a spur of moment, not with carefully reasoning.
This spur of the moment is nothing but allowing your emotions to lead your way.
When it comes to the Holy Spirit, while you seek Him without surrendering how you feel, you will not experience His greatness.
The Holy Spirit wants to be the center of your mind and your reasoning and it is a direct battle against your heart, the center of your emotions.
You have been seeking the new birth, or the Baptism with the Holy Spirit, or even to be revived with the Spirit of God but when it comes to your feelings, you are choosing to allow them to take the way.
Someone said something about you or for you years ago, and that is still very loud in your ears and your heart is grieved since then.
Someone looked down on you or criticized you and until today you see yourself as inappropriate.
Someone disappointed you and until today you are very reserved and cannot have friends.
You do not hold grudges but you cannot deny that resentment is there.
So which room is left for the Holy Spirit to come if people’s words or actions are stronger than all the promises of God left for you?
You have been seeking with words but one thing is missing: surrender your feelings!
What is restricting you of having the mind of Christ in you? The answer is right in the Word of God:
You are not restricted by us, but you are restricted in your own affections.” (2 COR 6:12)
Day 14 Despise your feelings – forget about the way or what was said and embrace what God has left in His word for you. This last week of the Fast of Daniel will change the course of your life if you are no longer restricted in your affections.

Fast of Daniel - Day Five

If we want God’s 100%, we should in exchange offer Him our 100%, right?
The Holy Spirit is His 100% and sometimes one may not receive the Holy Spirit or be revived because in actual fact there is a little share that has not been surrendered.
Not something big, easily spotted, but little foxes that come and make part of our life and we don’t even realize they have been around for long.
One point to consider: we say we trust God, we have been to the altar to commit our life to Him, we have materialized our trust through sacrifices but read this question loud:
Do I trust God even when His answer to my prayer is NO? Do I trust that by saying No to my request, He knows better and has another plan for me, which I am in perfect peace to abide to?
Have you notice emphasizes to “perfect peace”? Only when we are secure about something we have peace of mind but isn’t that very odd to be in peace with something that is opposing to our plans?
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight (Prov 3:5-6)
The verse says with all your heart – the centre of your emotions, exactly where one can easily deceive oneself saying words not meant, surrendering but not actually surrendering it all.
However this is the trust we need to have in God when we surrender our life to Him – in an unquestionable or undeniable manner.
Day Five – did I surrender my will, my plans and I am perfect in peace with God’s direction or do I still need to surrender some more?
